With so many choices of video editing software to choose from, is there one that anyone can recommend? I need pretty basic, easy to use, video editing software. I don't mind spending a few bucks on one. I recieved free video editing software with my new digital Presonus mixer, way yonder too deep to even get started with it. Any suggestions are sure appreciated.

Reaper is a DAW but it's also a simple video editor. Very easy to use.

Agreed. Why, with innumerable purpose-built video editors around, is a DAW the simplest to use? I imagine the video capability of Reaper was an afterthought, or at least not a priority.

Movavi is what I use. It's about $30. I have used Pinnacle also. I like Pinnacle, but my current computer didn't like it. They are both pretty simple once you understand them. A lot of people use Windows Movie Maker. There's plenty of youtube videos to help with the popular video editors. If your using a Mac computer, there's other options.

Windows 10 has a basic, built-in video editor application. Search for "video editor".

Windows 11 has a built-in video editor named ClipChamp. Microsoft purchased the company that created ClipChamp so it can be a native application like Notepad.

However, older Window operating systems are not left out in the cold. ClipChamp is a free download from the Microsoft store here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/clipc ... verviewtab
