I love this tune and arranged this take on Ry Cooder's "Feelin' Bad Blues" after listening to a number of others online, mostly played on 6-string slide guitar.

Played on a Fouke Industrial Guitars standard scale lap steel with Certano string benders through a Feather 5 hardwired amp handmade by Joe Golden. See the video description for details on the signal chain. Recorded in Garageband.

Thanks for your nice comment, Greg. Funny you bring up the signal chain details I included. People from the SGF and other places I post videos have asked me in the past what I play through and how I record so I often include that info. I like when others do the same, especially if I really dig their tone. Well, last night my wife listened to the video and when she read through the signal chain description she mentioned with a laugh that it was really geeky. Yeah, I guess so . But useful info, yes? I agree! Thanks for listening.

Very nice Cliff. I have always loved this piece by Ry Cooder. Great tone and feel for this music. I think you are playing in D tuning which is perfect for this tune!

Thanks, Mike! Yes, open D tuning it is. And having the lever that raises the F# to G on the 3rd string enables a nice change to the suspended chord just before the turnaround. I really like that.
