THANK YOU from Deluxe34

A big THANK YOU to all the many supporters of Deluxe34. 15 years of fun talking to some of the greatest steel players to ever pick up a bar. It’s been a pleasure and an honor. Thanks to Gerald Ross for buying the first one and giving it a rave review when I posted them on the forum. Thank you to all who have been so supportive, that made it so much fun. I feel like I did my best to make a quality product and a contribution to the steel guitar community. Thank you, thank you.
Here is an update to my retirement. Since I sold my manufacturing business I gave up the building I had my shop to make lap steel stands while running my business. The next 3 months I’ll be clearing out, cleaning, selling odds and ends (prototypes and parts) and moving. If someone needs an odd bracket made I will have my equipment for a few months, I just won’t be there on a regular basis.
The stand inventory I have left has been shipped to Asher Guitar and Lap Steels. The Asher’s are taking over the manufacturing and selling of the stands. It will take some time to ship the equipment and to get it up and going but they will have inventory to sell while they get set up. Best of luck to them.
A heart felt thank you to all of you
Mark

Thanks for all you've done for the community, Mark! I wish you well in retirement.

Having Asher take over the business is a great resolution. I know they'll keep up the quality you've provided.

Does this mean more time to play now?

All the best on your journey, Mark. Thanks for all you’ve provided to me and to the community.

A favorite memory of mine from HSGA after I nervously fumbled a performance was you saying: “I like what you were trying to do there…”. That still cracks me up!

One question... what does "Deluxe34" mean?

It was originally a 3 or 4 leg in one design

Mark, thanks a lot for the help you have provided to steel guitar players with your great stands.
When I had my first one stolen, I measured how much it was important for my gigs, and I was glad when I received the second one :D
I wish you a good retirement, lots of good time with travels and music.

Congrats

Congratulations Mark. I hope you have a super retirement. I am glad that Asher will continue your designs. I love my stand.

I am a retired aerospace mechanical engineer and I recognize quality engineering when I see it. That’s what your stand designs are to me.

Now that I am retired, I can just keep playing gigs until the money runs out. 🤣

Thanks so much, Mark, for the great stand and for the "steeling support" for all of us who play standing up. (: I've been using and enjoying your stand for many years onstage, on the road, and at home, too. I'm delighted to hear that you're going to have more time to be playing music in your retirement and making the most of the next many years. Congratulations. LC

I just did a quick count. I currently have two Deluxe 34 stands, three full sets of brackets and an additional four body brackets. I've also had a couple more sets of brackets that I've included with instruments I've sold. I'm so grateful for your wonderful work, Mark. Thanks, and enjoy your retirement.
