I will make a 1 week trip to Miami next week (December 14 to 21) and wonder if any of you guys are playing gigs there that week.
Thanks!

Jean-Sebastian,
If by chance you make it down to Key West I’m playing tonight at Dante’s 5:30-8:30. Come and sit in for a couple of songs.
I play my Clinesmith cast aluminum in a trio called The Naturals. C6/13 tuning. It’s all easy pop rock stuff.
Travel safely,
Daryl Brooke

"Steel in Miami". Sounds like a great title for a song.

Jean, this might be too late for a response but Ive been living in the Miami-Ft Lauderdale area for over 27 years.
Forget Miami, there's no country music to speak of.
Most clubs are gone except for one down in Homestead which might even have been closed down.
The bands that are here, are mostly southerner-rock that can be found at Biker bars.
There is one band from Hialeah, they play mostly country-rock, no steel needed.
Lots of Latin, Hip Hop, Jazz and Blues and yes Cuba music.
Ft Lauderdale has only one night spot, The Roundup in Dave but forget about hearing live country music, its all performed by a D.J. for the younger kids.
Steel, I think I might be the only pedal streel player left in the area. They all left town.
25 years ago there were about 10 steel players and about 15 country bands between the two counties. We had lots of local bars, fraternal organizations and 5 country music night clubs in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
Sorry for the bad news.
Country music is dead here and I mean dead!!!!!!!
But there is hope, West Palm Beach might be a better location for C&W, but again I know of no pedal steel players in that county or night spot.

Wally Murphy is in the Orlando area. Working every weekend I understand. Maybe not country like he used to do but it is still Wally. One of the Greatest Player's and Showman of all time. I think he lives in 0000000.

There's a great steel player named Jimbo every weekend at Alabama Jack's bar on Card Sound road.
