Opinions Williams D-10, 8+8, Keyless

I am interested in buying the Williams D-10, 8+8, Keyless and would like to hear any thoughts on this instrument, good and bad. Since I do not live close to someone that can service this instrument it has to be solid mechanically and function reliably.

Williams guitars are well built as good as any of them. The mechanics are solid and the sound is good.

But, without knowing the age and condition of the guitar in question, I would be hesitant to offer advice.

I've seen really odd setups, poor maintenance, excess wear, abuse etc. in all types of used guitars.

If it's a fairly recent build with a conventional setup, good maintenance record etc., it's value would be similar to other branded all pull guitars of like build.

Al Brisco may be able to advise you. FWIW, Iâ€™ve never had any issues with my â€œWillieâ€ in the 20 years Iâ€™ve had mine.

Incredible. They have amazing tone, sustain, and stay in tune so very well.
Thereâ€™s a reason why you donâ€™t see very many used Willyâ€™s for sale.

I have two D-10's and also owned an S-10 at one time. They are a solid guitar. Any little things I had questions on a phone call to Bill straightened them out. I was at Bill's yesterday and he had a batch of guitars ready for assembly. I think the high number was in the 1100's. So somebody likes them.

I've had a D10 and 2 D12's new and a wide body S12 on order. Wonderful steels in all respects. Bill's service is second to none. I email him and he answers right back. Call him, and he answers the phone. Who else does that these days?

I immediately noticed something wonderful about my Williams D10 model 600: the light pedal and lever action. Easy to press, with full return and pitch stability. BTW, Bill Rudolph informed me there is almost no difference between the 600 and 700 model, other than the headstock tuner blocks being open at the top, which is rather insignificant...
