Just thought that maybe someone on here might be interested in this from Canadian Country Music News from years gone by.

Oh my, this was a few years ago.. Have the recording and try to emulate Bob Lucier's version of Lonesome 7-7203 when it comes up on our set list. Great Album!

I was proud to have been part of this fine project assembled by Bob Taillefer. I did a did an instrumental fill on a vocal by one of my favourite female singers, Anita Perry’s. Another nice cut on the CD was Steve Smith's version of “Desperado”. He just kills on it.

This is great! I certainly missed being able to get up to Montreal or the Maritimes - but that changed as of late.

Anyone know Who played steel for Stompin’ Tom?

Thanks. E. O’Hara

I have that CD from Bob, really good! Bob came to a few shows at the PSGA in Norwalk and always had is trusty old Sho-Bud.

Hope he is doing well, haven't seen him post in a while!

I remember seeing clips on youtube of Harry Hibbs, and his backup band was Johnny Burke's band "Eastwind" and Bob Lucier was playing steel, it was probably the first real glimpse of the instrument I seen, and the background playing he did behind the accordion on some songs were amazing.

I also have this CD AND Vol. II from Bob. Since the topic was "Pictures of some Canadian steel players, I thought I'd ad some of my pictures of some of these guys. They are in alphabetical name order as they are on the CD jacket.
