The Country Music Hall of Fame interviewed John Sebastian on October 29th and Sebastian had some informative (and inspiring) comments on Buddy Emmons and Paul Franklin. The entire interview is great. Here are the mile markers with BE & PF:
Buddy Emmons - 9:59
Paul Franklin - 8:17 & 28:00

Buddy Emmons is also on another Sebastian record "Tarzana Kid". He's quite burried in the mix, but still:

Great interview. He certainly had a remarkable run in the '60s.
Here's the recent Tony Jackson cut of "Nashville Cats" with Paul Franklin killing it. Nice solo also.

There used to be a studio video of them recording it, but it seems to have been taken down.

Sebastian's description of Emmons as a "gentleman" was wonderful. I ran into Van Dyke Parks here in L.A. not long ago, who played piano on "Someday Soon". When I asked about working with Emmons he used exactly the same word, "a gentleman".
