Cool Johnie. I always thought that basket weave mica looked unique and awesome. Best of luck with the sale.

Me too. But with the texture, it musta been a booger to keep clean. Akin to the infamous Sho-Bud dustcatcher fretboards.

Here's a fairly famous 12-string basketweave, complete with Emmons Fuzz Machine:

The mica surface was smooth. No dust problem. I've seen one. Thanks, Tommy.....

The basketweave 'mica D-10 that Russ Pahl played in the Twin Cities back in the '70s was definitely textured. I played it on occasion.

I have an original basketweave U12, and it’s a 3-D texture. Amazing, and doesn’t collect dust.

Wow.

No I can’t. Yes you can. No I really shouldn’t. Well, maybe I could. No, I don’t need it. But what’s need got to do with it? You just can’t. But look at it, it’s a basket-weave. “Find another.”

The internal struggle. Which side will win out?
