A special remembrance of Larry "Wimpy" Sasser:

From the 1994 Saluda Steel Guitar Convention, Saluda, SC USA

This was after Larry got sick and had moved back to GA. His wife Evelyn called me one day and said "get him out of my house, he is driving me crazy to hear steel guitar" At this point Larry was unable to play so we worked up this little skit to entertain many of his fans.

Please excuse the bad picking. Some was on purpose, some was not. hehe

Of course my last song, I was missing about 3 strings.

Larry was an active participant at Paul Franklin's Steel Guitar Camp held near Nashville this past July. He traded some great stories with Jim Vest about the Nashville Cats days at Painter's Alley during the Legend of Steel Panel portion of the Camp. This picture is me with Larry and Jaydee.
