Preferred Effects Unit Addition to Nashville 400?

Seems to be a trend back to 'stomp box' FX pedals . . .
Suggestions on current model FX units? Rack/Table Top or Floor?
Years back I used the Peavey Tube-Flex I think it was called.
Do most route the FX unit through FX Send/Return on rear or use the front Input?
Thanks,
Billy

I use a DD3 delay, but I've heard a lexicon is good.

I used a Zoom Multistomp MS50G Pedal plugged into the front of the amp and it sounded great. The effects loop always sounded dark to me.

I run my Zoom MS50G in the front panel effects loop. Doesn't sound dark to me.
Delay plus Reverb Stompbox

Here is a pedal that does what the DD3 does and also has reverb, and for less than $100, simple set up for playing gigs; Not in production anymore, but still mostly available, ebay, sweetwater, forum, etc. Not as fancy as your Tubefex, but gives both reverb and delay and more reverb choices than the N-400 reverb knob. Delay alone, reverb alone, or delay + plus reverb. Delay fattens up the tone nicely as well as tricky echo and speed effects such as those Bobbe Seymour demos on You Tube.

Another vote for the 'DR 400'. When these were available they routinely sold for around $39.00 to $49.00 new. I acquired one used from my local Craigslist for $25.00 as a backup for my Boss 'RV-3' (which I believe that the Behringer was cloned from). Decided to run an A/B test and the difference in tone and function between the two units was negligible at best. Eventually sold the Boss for four times the amount paid for the Behringer.

I have a DD-3 plus a Pro-Fex II, and a Pro-Fex. The Pro-Fex is broke and 2os working well as well as the DD-3.
