It a Stage One a starter guitar? Is it load and wobbly? What would you compare it too. I had a Carter Starter and I didn't like if for sure,Thanks

It's a real good "starter" guitar. I can't remember who, but there have been at least one player that used one on the road. A Carter Starter is not a good guitar unless you make modifications to it.

Much better than a Carter Starter. Very stable legs and stays in tune. Works well. Hell, I have played gigs with them. No issues whatsoever. For the price you likely won't beat it. Due to the wait for one they tend to have a high resale value. Since you are located in alabama talk to Bob Simmons he can fix you up with a 3 pedal 4 lever set up fpr around the same price. Bob makes a great guitar too. I believe that his comes as an SD-10. Don't quote me on that...lol

The Stage One is a serious quality instrument with great tone and smooth action. It is a 3x4 s10 pull release mechanism. No provision for adding pedals or knee levers. Had mine for 4 years and no troubles. Gigged with it plenty. I have other steels but it's my gig guitar. Stable and stays in tune.

you can play Stage One on any gig , if you’re not one of the guys to change your setup often , it will get you a long way … Carter Starter is no match for Stage One
