Fender Custom D 10
A fellow steeler passed away a month or so ago. His daughter is looking to maybe sell it. I do not know the value or can't find it anywhere. Fender Custom, D 10, 8 pedals w/knee levers. Anyone know where I can find the value or does anyone have an idea of the value. Thanks Don't know how to upload pics but have one or 2.

Hi Steve, I sent you a PM.
I forgot to mention, there’s a Facebook Group dedicated to Fender pedal steels with some really knowledgeable folks that might be worth looking into as well.

I can't advise you on the value, but it looks like the Fender Artist model built by Sho-Bud. I don't recall seeing a Custom badge on them though.
I defer to the experts for verification and value however.

I think Jerry is right on the money here. If you enter Fender Artist into the forum search, there are a couple of old listings that might help you out with the value. That custom badge is a mystery to me as well, I’d be curious to know what that’s all about.

I have one of those D-10 guitars, the "Custom" badge is a non-original addition.Per Berner wrote:The Custom badge looks like something from a 70s car...
As said, it's a Fender Artist D-10 dating from 1976-77 when 4400 models were made (S-10, D-10 and S-10 Student - which was mostly a vinyl Maverick) finished in mahogany or black, many exported to UK.
It's ShoBud underneath with Fender topside, tuner pan, pickups and changer etc.
Check out an archived thread on here. I only have an idea of value in UK/Ireland which converts to around $2000 depending on condition. They're good guitars - but a very "Fender" sound, rarely break strings because of the Fender changer, action is like a ShoBud of that era; most undercarriage parts interchangeable.
