Bill W. Myrick Passed Aug 31

Post by Bill Myrick »

Bill W. Myrick passed on August 31
from liver cancer. This is his son posting on his behalf, per my father's instructions.

Daddy loved pedal steel guitar and played as long as his health would allow it.

As he requested, I have taken photographs of his beloved Fender Vibrosonic Reverb amp, and on behalf of my mother, his widow, I request that any interested members please assess for her a reasonable and fair market value of this classic tube amp before someone steals it away from her for a pittance.

At a later time I shall photograph his pedal steel and other such equipment for similar fair market estimation. We simply want to do right by mom, as none of us know a fair price to ask.

My email for more information or to kindly review photographs is
somnetics@gmail.com

We are located in N W Arkansas.

Thank you all for your years of friendship and great times with my dad. He often spoke fondly of the forum and the many members herein.

Respectfully submitted,
Douglas Myrick

My condolences to you and your family. If you send the photos to me, I can give you a guesstimate as to the value based on what I've seen here on the Forum and on eBay, Reverb and Gbase.com.

I always enjoyed visiting with Bill. He was a very nice hard working man with a great personality. My sincere sympathies go out to the family.

Feel free to call on me if I can help with assessing the value of your dads equipment. I would be happy to help out.

I really hate to hear this. Bill was always so unbelievably kind to me. I used to love pestering him at Bethel’s steel guitar jams and I think he enjoyed picking at me as much as I loved giving it back.

I attended Bill's Celebration of Life Saturday, October 23rd 2021 which Doug did a tremendous job of paying tribute to his Dad. Bill contributed so much to the SSSGC and is missed so much. I was honored to get to play with him. RIP Bill
