I recently got a course from Truefire on dobro playing by Jimmy Heffernan and find it very helpful and enjoyable even though I don't own a dobro (I'm using a lapsteel tuned to dobro open G). I also have a lapsteel tuned to C6 (6 string) and can't find as much about it online as I can for dobro. I wonder if any of the education based players that frequent the forum have considered approaching Truefire about submitting a course. I've bought some materials from Troy Brenningemyer in the past that have been helpful but the layout of a course and the commitment it requires is where I learn best and would think others would find it useful as well. I am only a customer of Truefire and have no affiliation otherwise. |
