Mesa Boogie 5:50 Express Plus 1x12 Sold off forum

Post by Howard Montgomery »

Excellent condition with new power tubes (<10 hrs). Includes footswitch and cover. Fun amp with power selection on each channel of 5 Watts, 25 Watts, 50 Watts. Independent EQ and reverb on each channel and graphic EQ can be assigned to each or both channels.

Mesa's taken their (already killer) Express 5:50, and injected even more Petaluma mojo. With multi-watt channel-assignable power, an improved clean mode, Mesa's famous 5-band graphic equalizer, performance-enhancing solo control, and a new 4-button footswitch, this 2-channel, 5/25/50-watt tone monster proves that beastly things do indeed come in compact packages. Massive tonal dexterity makes the 1 x 12" Express 5:50 Plus combo ideal for both live work and and recording.

Mesa/Boogie Express 5:50 Plus 5/25/50-watt Tube Combo Amp Features:
• Open-back all-tube 1 x 12" combo, custom designed and handcrafted in Petaluma, California
• All-tube amp with 5 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 x 6L6 power tubes
• 50-watt Class A/B, 25-watt Class A push-pull, and 5-watt single-ended Class A operation
• Fixed bias for consistent, maintenance-free performance
• 2 fully independent channels with 4 style modes
• 5-band graphic EQ
• All-tube long-spring reverb with independent channel controls
• Fully buffered effects loop
• 4-button footswitch and slipcover included

I have the same amp (head version) with a Mesa 2-12 angled cab with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. These amps are capable of a wide variety of tube tones. Very cool!
I survived the sixties!
