Chris Scruggs - Steelin' the Blues
Jerry Byrd's "Steelin' the Blues" played with consummate musical feel and groove by Chris Scruggs.

C6th, like Jerry's original. Whether E on top or G on top, I'm not sure.

Last that I knew of Chris was playing
E, C, A, G, E, C# A, A, (bass) on his C6. He could have changed tunings . that was a few years back. Love his steel playing. Talented cat.

Agree, Scott, and that cool jump blues-approved unison lick.

I've watched and worked on many of the videos that Chris has posted on you tube. He is a stellar player!! I wish he would do a course for Paul Franklins MMM. (Modern Music Masters)

Chris seems to stay pretty busy playing around Nashville. He's also on the road with Marty Stuart a lot. He may not have the time(??) He is a member here and posts pretty frequently . Perhaps he will see this.
I recently inquired with MMM about the possibility of a camp with some non pedal players they responded. (Cut and Pasted below)

Hi Gary-
Thanks for getting in touch!
No plans for that this year, sorry. I think it's likely something we will address next year. This year's main focus is on the pedal steel legends we are getting together. We'd like to do some non-pedal classes....something like a Chris Scruggs clinic would be amazing, no doubt.
Thanks,
Tom at MMM
