I recently found this at my local guitar shop. I was without a steel and had a lower end Gibson invader that I offered to the shop owner. I figured he could get rid of a guitar faster than a steel. It functions 100% and although it is no Mullen G2, it’s surprisingly nice to play. Can anyone tell me about this model? Is it all pull or pull release? I’m sure I knew this stuff at one point but it’s been a while. I probably have $500 in the trade guitar. Thanks
Serial number is pictured. Any idea if it’s age?

In May 2021 I sold a MSA Classic Serial Number 1C2921 it was born July 9, 1974. This would make 1C5190 late 1970's or into the 1980's. If I had not went to 12 string Universal. I would take it if you decide you don't want it to set up and play.
Go to the MSA website and send them the serial number. 2 guys at MSA has Mr. Anderson's records and may be able to give you its birth day.
It looks like the guitar has 3 pedals and looks like 4 knee levers, You can see 3 and looks like the reverser of a 4th knee lever.
By the return springs, It is an all pull guitar.
Does the tone and volume knobs work on the guitar?
The Pickup looks original for that model MSA.
With a little cleaning and lubing you have an old war horse guitar that would do about anything a player would want, Maybe later add a 5th vertical lever for a full setup.
Sounds like you got a heck of a deal in the trade.
Good Luck and Happy Steelin if you want to the take THE ADVENTURE. bj |

Yessir she is a good old guitar. I play steel but have recently bought my first home. I sold my Mullen to help with my down payment. I’m going to keep her until I decide to upgrade to another Mullen. Thanks for the information.

As Bobby says, it's an all-pull, a "Classic" model CS-10 built in mid 1976. (I'd guess sometime in June). Looks like it's had very little actual playing time, and was probably stored for decades in a garage or basement. It has a decent (but not exceptional) sound and is one of the most rugged and reliable guitars of that era. |

If this was a straight-across trade for a Gibson Invader, Jeff did real well. |
