finally another gig

The 15th of June I was able to play (try to play) a gig . The first one in about two years. Had a good crowd but when I took a break I noticed several people heading for the door. After I finally got the steel set up I had trouble tuning it. Is the 6th string tuned to Bb minor?? Once we started I noticed some metal hanging down from under the steel on each side of my legs. Does anyone have an idea what they are???
