If you succeed in cheating someone, don't think that the person is a fool. It's just that the person trusted you far more than you deserved.

That is really cool. I was working there then. Emmons didn't sell direct back then. Only to dealers. You had to order from one of them. Big Ron's policy. He just wanted to be a manufacturer. Dealers even serviced the guitars Big Ron's daughter-in-law changed that. Thanks for sharing this with me.

No extra charge for the Sperzel tuning keys!

Are the ones on your guitar still working okay?

I have heard of other Emmons guitars with no serial #, I believe this issue was one of several that lead to Buddy parting ways with the company. I noticed the Invoice doesn’t have one either.

If the dealers were servicing the guitars, I wonder who would have had possession of the infamous "factory cards" to note the work done on the instruments?

I have 249 L which I think is an 84, I’m the second owner. This guitar was purchased from Clem Schmitz in Nashville.

Lots of unfounded accusations in this conversation. Idle gossip, very sad.
