Zum Pull Rods

Post by Jim Reynolds »

I am setting my Zum U-12 up for the Day Pedals, and the Universal knees. I am looking for two pull rods. One about 9 to 9 1/4. and one 25 t0 25 1/4. I am not exact because of the turn going into the bell crank. Thanks in advance, I am willing to pay what ever, don't want to be a free be, in other words, I will pay for them, with much thanks.
Zum U-12, Carter SDU-12, Zum Encore, Emmons S-10, Emmons D-10, Nashville 400, Two Peavey Nashville 112, Boss Katana 100, Ibanez DD700, Almost every Lesson Jeff Newman sold. Washburn Special Edition Guitar, Can never have enough, even at 80. 1963 Original Hofner Bass bought in Germany 1963, and a 1973 Framus Bass also bought in Germany 1974.

Maybe just to clarify, we need to know which style of bellrank/rod you have.

Early comb style with roll pin, like this:

Or the most current style like so from Leo's old post:
Bruce may still have some of these newer rods.

Would you have these Jerry, or should I contact Bruce himself?

Jim, I looked in my loft where I keep extra parts and I only have a few of the older style. I wish I could have helped.

Thanks all, I do have a Carter that I changed and love it, but really wanted to do the Zum. I will try and contact Bruce, or maybe Doug, with the Encore. I think the rods are the same, except maybe the nylon tuners size.

That just might be. He's the one I bought it from. I really never thought of that. Thanks
