Looking for decent "entry level" single pedal steel

Hey all! I've been playing non-pedal lap steel (1951 Fender D6 Pro, will likely be up for sale soon) for 10 years or so. While I've gotten decent at the D6,the thing is, the sound I've always wanted is a pedal steel. So I've finally decided to take the plunge.

I'm looking for something fairly simple, an s10 with three floor pedals and some knee levers. I've been hearing about the Stage One and Encore steels, looks like he's backed up on production until the fall 2021.

I'm open to leads and ideas on something in the $1k-$1500 range. Many thanks from a soon-to-be pedal steel player!

Tyler

You might want to check out the Justice S10 - Jr from Justice Steel Guitars.

Talk to Ron at Justice. The phone is probably the best way to contact him, not so much email. He’ll give you good advice. They make a great product and have a pretty quick turnaround.

Thanks to you both, these guitars look great! Might be just what I'm looking for. How cool that there are solid entry level pedal steels being produced.

Ron is a great guy to work with, my Justice guitar looks and sounds GREAT not to mention the mechanics are very smooth!
