Ive just changed the strings on my Sx 3 to CEGACE(C6) and I am loving the sound! So much so that I am giving up on learning the 1 finger barre method for my small acoustic. It's a classical so The action is high enough to play with a tone bar but since it's a classical I guess a lap steel strings are out huh? Do they make C6 strings in nylon? Do you thing standard nylon strings would stretch to C6 tuning?
Thanks,
Paul

Steel strings are right out of the question - they'd rip the bridge off at a minimum. You may be able to use a string tension calculation (for example D'Addario's) to construct a set of classical strings that fit that tuning. But even then, you'd get so little pushback on the bar that playing would be difficult and there'd be next to no sustain.
