From the album "Seducing The '60s" released in 2007. There's a bit of eBow and "sitar steel," plus the great John McFee on slide guitar. Starting at 1:49 we start trading off with our best George Harrison licks.

Thanks again for listening,

Excellent, Joe. The early-country/proto-rockabilly band I'm in now does a couple of Beatles tunes, this Harrison tune would make a great instrumental addition instead of playing the same warhorse steel guitar instrumentals all the time. That is if we can ever get anybody to let us play out again! Crowds always go nuts for stuff by the Beatles, collectively or individually.

And for good reason. The Beatles set the bar pretty high in the sixties, and it's indisputable that they have been the gold standard for popular music ever since. The whippersnappers who were not around to experience Beatlemania likely won't understand, but there's yet to be anything to rival it.

ps -- Nice job, Mr. Goldmark. (I'm a sucker for Harrison tunes; been jamming with friends on For Ewe Bleu for decades.)

Thanks for the nice comments guys!

The Beatles and their solo projects are fertile ground for steel instrumentals. I've recorded 19 so far http://www.vinylbeat.com/joeRecordings.html

Interestingly, Dan Dugmore recorded his "Off White Album" of all Beatles tunes a few years ago. Of the twelve tunes, there were only three that we had both recorded. And, at that time he was unaware of my "Steelin' The Beatles" CD, which speaks to how melodic and steel-friendly Beatles tunes are.
