The previous and original owner probably had the guitar set up out of the case for a quite a while. It looks like it was left un-played. NO SMOKE. The pedal rack and pedals are near pristine, so they were probably in the case for most of the time. There are a few dings in the finish; one small but deep-ish one on the front apron, and there is some finish alligatoring (not loose). A small area behind the back neck has some very slight color fading typical of an old lacquer finish. Typical of almost all older PP guitars there were cracks behind the changers to the endplates which I repaired. There are some dings in the endplates.

The underside, while it was very dirty when I got it shows zero wear, and the set up appears to be as it came from Emmons, and not, or barely played. There were no tuning screw markings on the changer fingers, and the changer string surfaces are very good.

I removed everything from the top and also removed the rear endplate. I repaired the cracks, cleaned and polished the cabinet. I re-jeweled the necks, and polished the necks and headstocks. I installed new thin line fretboards and new Gotoh vintage repro tuners ( I still have the original tombstones). I cleaned the changers, and cleaned the underside, maintaining the Emmons set up.
I completely went through the entire underside, cleaning, tweeking, and impoving that which could be made better.. I installed a 9th string lower on E9 which it did not have originally. The whole guitar was cleaned up and I replaced the front legs with new ones. They are tight with no wobble.

So in a nutshell, after a lot of work,I consider the guitar to be a quality relic/resto-preservation. The guitar has typical age and character but does not look trashed. It looks really great with lots of good character.. It plays like a new 1977 push pull with a killer precision set up. It sounds big and wonderful and has exceptional sustain.. That old wood has a great sound.

Its available to demo. An appointment for a video walk through can also be arranged.

Regards and best
