I've been trying to buy this little Emmons from a good friend in Wasilla Alaska for about 20years
He finally agreed to sell it to me,I had one in 1975 when I lived in Austin I eventually gave it to Jerry Blanton towards a Blanton. This will be the second Emmons that I've owned,I dropped it off with Jon Light this morning,He will whisper to it.

I'm of the opinion that GS-10s are the bomb! Which is likely why I have two of 'em -- a 3x4 and a 3x1 -- both '73s. This red-belly (#161 GS):
And this bowlin' ball (#278 GS):

Your persistence paid off in the end. Well done Stu!

Very nice! Super compact, light and simple. I have come to the conclusion that I definitely do not own enough pedal steel guitars. Please tell my wife.

Jerry,Looks like a can of Krylon went to work.Do you remember years ago when I lived in Anchorage Alaska helping me with intonation help for my Baby Sitar?

Of course I remember you, Stu. I believe we both knew George Harrington from your Alaska days. BTW, I briefly owned your old round front LDG. Great guitar!

Thanks for the warm welcome Stu, I certainly appreciate it
I just acquired my first pedal steel, a Emmons GS-10 3x2 (#557 GS), having never touched one before! Promptly joined the forum and just got my 6 issues of Steel Guitarist in the mail this week along with several pedal steel instruction books from Amazon. I've also signed up for Paul Franklin's "Foundations: E9 Pedal Steel Basics" course. Between all that (and figuring out how to tune the GS-10 pedals and levers properly
), should keep me busy for quite some time...
Thanks again for the warm welcome, I'm really thankful for this resource and for the opportunity to learn from all of you guys
