I own the New Yorker on the right and visited a friend who owned the Dynamic and the Console shown. All have the fat 1950's pickup (which, despite its width, a tap test suggests that the back half of the pickup box is empty).

The New Yorker pickup measured 1.9K. The Dynamic's pickup, which is noticeably hotter unsurprisingly came in at 2.4K. But the Console, which sounds the weakest of the three measured 3.3K and 3.4K. (Which makes it roughly in line with the Dynamic's pickup due to the extra width for the 8 strings but then why is the sound so weak?)

So for those of you that own the wide pickup, how much variation is there in the pickup resistance?

To make a simple resistance test, turn the volume on the guitar all the way up. Then you should be able to get a decent measurement of the pickup resistance by by measuring the resistance across a guitar cable connected to guitar's output jack.
