What an incredibly nice person and awesome steel player. If the chance arises, I highly recommend going to see Tommy play.

110% agree with all the above comments re: Tommy D! I truly believe he is in a class all by himself. Can't wait to see him again with Jake Hooker and the Outsiders!

I've had the very distinct pleasure of getting to know Tommy over the past several years. He is very humble, kind and a true gentleman. While my wife, Kathy were traveling through Texas on our way to the Dallas Jamboree, we were able to catch Tommy playing with Jake Hooker in Kurten, near College Station. It was at a huge community center and there must have been hundreds of fans there for this dance! The music was fabulous and Tommy's playing was awesome! It was such a pleasure to actually meet Tommy in person and it was an evening I'll not soon forget!
You'll notice that Justin Trevino was also there as a guest vocalist and he even took a request from me; "Teardrops Don't Lie".

In 2019, Tommy was inducted into the Texas Steel Guitar Hall of Fame at the annual TSGA Jamboree.

I second everyone's nice comments on Tommy D. A kind, humble gentleman and an extremely gifted multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer/producer at his Cherry Ridge Studio. The steel is always way up in the mix
I keep telling him I want to sound just like him on pedal steel when I grow up....I hope it happens soon since I think we're about the same age. As we say around here, "Tommy is good people!"

And I THIRD everyone's nice comments on Tommy. I've know Tommy ever since I was born; on the pedal Steel. He has always been the most helpful and encouraging and personal life saving member of our steel guitar family.
Making music with that Man; has been the thrill of my musical career> PERIOD!!!!!
Love ya Tommy D.

We talked about you Ricky. Ha. Yes it was good. I told Tommy how I broke my BMI guitar and at the time you lived up in North Houston. You were gracious enough to let me bring it up and you fixed it for me AND gave me a guitar lesson. I suspect you won't remember that, but it meant a lot to me Ricky.

Mega Dittos on Tommy. I met him after he took Tommy Moran's place playing for Moe. We did many shows together and it was always great to hear him play and visit with him.
