was working on some shortwave radios i picked up at a hamfest. sounds were interesting, so i played one track of just improv with a new 6 string build i am finishing up and then recorded some random tracks of shortwave radio sounds and did ONE mix of all of them together with a drum loop.

lap guitar has fabulous sustain. P90 pickup. sort of a scary tango re-occurring motif with some harmonics and whatever else happened.

best heard with headphones....or maybe not at all...

let it not be said that our non pedal instruments cannot evoke fear and confusion...... "i dont know if he can ever get a license again"....

I think it's a very cool concept.

I think it might be even cooler if you started off with some spooky sounding minor key atempo improv behind the radio, then started the tango midway thru.

As always, your playing and tone are enviable.

That was freaking great Bill. I love when artists blend found sounds, free improvisation, and serious musical chops. Well done.

Cool, Bill! A modern cinematic steel track for the remake of "It Came From Outer Space"

Beautiful, haunting. Reminds me of Edgard Varese.
"Well played." as they say, Bill, in every respect.

And what a gorgeous looking and sounding lap steel!

That was very cool. Somehow, listening to it evoked the image of the night fly in my mind.
