While none of these amps are for sale yet, I am soon going to be posting a few of these for sale. Send me a message if you would like "first dibs".

1947 BR-6 Style 1 (the tall cabinet)

1946 BR-1 (cabinet will be rebuilt first)

1954 GA-50T - yes! I really mean it. A "holy grail" amp that is all original except the speakers and is in very good condition. This one might be for sale now but I'm thinking of keeping it. It will be in the $3K range.

1939 Epiphone Electar Zephyr - the most beautiful amp I've ever seen!

1966 Epiphone Comet - ready to sell this one now. New Eminence speaker.

Cool! I'm in love with the oldGibson amps (anything pre 1965 basically) and have a bunch of them (Multiple Falcons, a Scout, a GA-79 etc)

They are AMAZING... although they kind of suck for steel overall and I couldn't imagine gigging on steel with one of them... but for guitar they KILL!!! The Reverb and especially the Trem crush Fenders IMO.

But for gigging on steel i'll always grab a Fender. I wonder what you are KEEPING if you are getting rid of these!?!? 😬

Which one I will keep is still sorta up in the air. I would love to keep the 1939 Zephyr but it's so rare and beautiful that I think I would never be brave enough to take it out of my house. I may just keep the GA-50T because it's durable enough that I can take it out. We still haven't had a chance to get the Zephyr on the bench for a checkup...soon, I hope.

I've already sold the BR-6.

The 1946 BR-1 is with a friend who is a furniture restorer and trying to rebuild the cabinet from the inside without disturbing the original covering. It had obviously had serious water damage and the plywood was completely falling apart. It sounds fantastic, though.

I may keep the '66 Epiphone, too. Just as a backup. You are correct - the reverb and tremelo are better than Fenders.
