Vertical Knee lever extension hack

Recently bought myself a really nice used GFI.
The guitar however came with standard length legs.
I recently fitted a GFI vertical knee lever on the left knee and found that even at the lowest setting it was too high for my munchkin legs to reach!
I googled a few ideas regarding knee lever extensions But nothing was really floating my boat.
Even toyed with the idea of getting some slightly shorter legs but this was going to be too expensive.
So with a little bit of thought I came up with this idea, which requires absolutely no modification to your guitar whatsoever.
It’s a piece of delrin rod, 10 cm long 20 cm diameter with 3 x 10mm coated spring clips.
I’ve now added some O-rings that fit over the clips which makes the extension even more solid.
Total cost around $10.
I’ve been using it for over a week now and it’s rock solid and works like a charm.
It’s also really easy to remove when you need to pack the steel in its case.

Smart idea, Tim! Have the same problem with my LKV(on a Mullen RP U-12)even with the Del extension, so I haven't been using it.Now I can cobble something up. Thanx! ;-)

Very nice "commercial" looking...doesn't detract from the knee-lever appearance.

They're not adjustable? I own Klines now, I remember Zum, Carter, and MSA the verticals, and all pedals could be adjusted for position and travel.

Yep
The vertical knee levers are fully adjustable on my GFI but as I stated the guitar has standard length legs but I don’t!
Therefore even with the levers adjusted to the lowest position I struggle to reach.

I've always had an adjustable vert. levers but never so that I could position right where I need it (1/2" over my (short) leg for an easy, quick move) without a modification or fabrication of some sort. And it has to be a position and a mod that still allows for casing the guitar.
Never, that is -- until I got my Williams (which still needed some custom machining at the factory to oversize the folding part to achieve my specs -- a fully horizontal lever, not sharply angled, that is positioned as low as I need it but that can fold away.)

Mullen has a similar extension knuckle. I love it. I wanted to buy one for my Fessenden but it is not compatible.

I've done several versions of slip on attachments in the past and it is a great solution. I also fabricated an aluminum folding monstrosity for my Sho-Bud that ... works.

So -- good job.
