I thought I had it somewhere... but apparently I don't... I just hear it in my head!
I thought it was on "The Many Moods Of Maurice Anderson".

Maurice "Reece" Anderson's version of How High The Noon... anybody has it?

I'd love to have it.

Thanks!... J-D.

I don't remember that being on the "Moods" series, I don't think I've heard it played by Maurice at all. I have all of his recordings I could find, but I may have missed some.

Maybe I have it ringing in me from a live performance?

Does anybody have the "Moods Of"-records on mp3?

Not on the 'Moods Of' set.
Paul Franklin had it on an
early album (Play By Play?)

I think it's on a Steve Palousek CD also.

I just did a Youtube search and there's a steel guitar version by Zane King there.

It’s not on Moods. But you can get the best of the Moods tunes on a 2 CD compilations that Mike Perlowin produced.

Could you be thinking of Full Moon? I think that was on one of his works.

Yes, I already got that one downloaded into my "spy"-folder.
I like listening to Zane... to both Zanes actually.
Zane BECK played in a very unique Jazzy E9th style.

Thanks!
Is that "Upon Request-A Musical Decade"?

I shall write to Perlowin... J-D.

I now have ALL of Maurice's studio albums, and many of his guest sessions as well. I've never heard him play that song. I bet he had to have played it live at least once though. I see that there are now a lot of his full convention sets on youtube, perhaps a version of it is buried in one of those shows?

If the one you're hearing in your head is upbeat, then I bet it's Paul's version (which is quite reminiscent of Maurice's style).

I have a great deal of jazz steel guitar recordings, and oddly this song is almost never played by anyone.

hmm... I don't have any C6th records of PF.... shame on me.
What I have in my head is in the style and beat of his Satin Doll.
Mostly chorded melody... wide grips.

But then, I my mind might have concocted this from other renditions.

Thanks!... J-D.

Could you be thinking of "What Kind Of Fool Am I" from Moods #1?? I am realizing that its melody starts out almost exactly like the "How High The moon" melody. Also, it does have a very similar groove and production sound to that of his "Satin Doll" from Moods #2. Now you're getting this song stuck in my head...

HA!... just listening to it... I must have extrapolated that into How High The Noon.
Could very well be.

But now I have another problem, because I let you get into my head! :D

Thanks!... J-D.

No problem! Wish I could plan out my 'mind tricks'...

I would've really loved to have heard what his take on "How High The Moon" might've sounded like.
