Steel Guitarist Magazine revisited
I was looking for my collection a while back to read a particular article I thought I vaguely recalled. They are packed away somewhere in a box from one of my moves so instead of rummaging through stuff in the basement I just ordered the whole set from Tom Bradshaw. Man am I glad I did. They came today all brand spankin new. Just flipping through them I see there is not one article in the whole set I'm not interested in reading. They're all new to me again and will provide several hours of pleasurable reading. Since these are like 40 years ago (dating myself) I don't remember hardly any of this stuff and I used to read through the whole mag the day it came. I think I'll start with issue 1 and read through all seven like a book. If you don't have these get em. The set is not expensive and they're just packed with valuable information and good reading. Disregard the ads of course. Though interesting they are 40yrs. ago.

It was at a motel or hotel or something of that nature. A one day seminar. First one I ever went to. Geared toward e 9th middle of the road. Learned a lot that day about single note, single string picking style. I still go back and try to do some of the things he taught that day.
The guitar was owned by someone I knew and later tried to get him to sell it to me but he would not. I think I finally got it around 1984 but can't remember for sure. Got my second PP about 4 or 5 years later.

Our friend Tom Bradshaw must have had a ton of these printed up back in the day. I'm pretty sure these are all NOS from the stockpile. I bought a second set a few years back.
I can't express how valuable this info was for me when I started playing late 70s. I bought my first guitar, an MSA Red Baron and from my communication with Jerry Anderson, I found Tom Bradshaw and a wealth of stuff through him.
There just wasn't much information around and these magazines were a godsend.

I've actually bought the entire set twice!
First time around 1996 when I bought a used Dekley S10 and tried to learn to play, but failed pretty miserably. Sold the Dekley at a huge loss and donated the magazines.
Second time about 3 years ago when I got my Mullen G2. This time the PSG and the magazines are not going anywhere!
The full set of 6 should be a must have for everyone. They're an unbelievable wealth of info and should be read, reread and studied whether you play country or anything else

I have them also. Enjoyed reading them at least a dozen times. I had all of the Steel Guitar World magazines also. Sold them a couple years ago. Read them dozens of times. I sold them so someone else would be able to enjoy them.I am not sure how many of them their was. Had to be at least 50 or more. They were excellent.
