cool!.. Late 60's early 70's.. Love the Fender Coronado Antigua Bass, and the small cab Bassman ... Top of the Fender bass line in those days... Looks like a ProII for the steel guy. My favorite?.. Gotta be that accordian guy!! bob

Looks like "that accordion guy" is Phil Menard himself, "accordion" to the Wikipedia page.

Hey Folks,
-Steelguitar; Nelson Bergeron....He sold me his Fender 400 for $350 when he purchased the guitar he’s playing in that photo. He let me send him payments because I was 12 years old and had just started playing gigs in south Louisiana for $12-$25 per nite. I paid it off in 3 months....LoL
-Fiddle; Arthur Leger....aka Uncle Arthur
-Drums; Albert Miller. Also vocals
-Accordion ; Phil Menard
-Guitar; Bobby Caswell. Also vocals
-Bass- Elwell Brashear. “Brashear” was the local amp/anything technician. Everyone brought repair work to him. When the cables came lose on my Fender 400 he silver soldiered them for me.

Those people used to allow my brother and I to sit in at their gigs until we got into our own band. Some of these folks are still with us....they were/are the salt of the earth. Always helpful and encouraging.

FYI, notice the nicknames above. That was a real part of Cajun culture until we became more “Americanized”....most of us didn’t know a person’s real name because we all had nicknames...LoL
Also, That Fender Coronado bass was sweet to play(I started on bass)

Daniel J. Cormier (aka “Danny”) could provide a wealth more information than I just stated.
