Hi lapsteelers,
It took some time to find out this one, but C6 did it again! Amazing.
As I said before, I'm a melody man, not really a jazz guy.
But this song has both, and now and then I have to dive into the world of "complex chords" .
Encouraged by musical forum friend Mikhail Bobrov from my first post; this one is for you, Mikhail!
Just like in Mood Indigo and Moonlight Serenade there are 3-tone slants in the arrangement.
Really worth trying, putting the bar in the best position!
And you might hear some fingerpicking and damping influences . .
My version is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_rm5tZ_G34&feature=youtu.be
As always, if you want to give it a try, just email me,
and I'll send the complete 3-page PDF and the backing track for free.
Hope you're all safe, all the best,
Bert

Ah Bert, you’ve done it again.
I’m a Django fan and you did a great job on this one.
Please put me on the list for a copy of your Tab and track.
Keith. |

Many thanks Bert.Much appreciated. It's not an easy song. But it's a great one to learn. It's in a minor key [Cm] and modulates to C major.Chord are complex, Lots of diminished and m7b5.But it's a great melody and at a slow tempo to learn.I think it's a great choice for C6th.
Thanks again. |

Hello Bert,
I know the melody but haven't realized that it is Django Reinhardt.
You did it again!
Thank you very much. |

That sounded great. You handled those changes and slants incredibly well. Keep 'em coming. |

Nice job Bert! You nailed all the 3-tone slants - do you find it easier with the Stevens bar than a bullet bar? |

Steve, I'm used to the SP2 by Shubb.
It has a rounded top, and a nice weight.
And you're not "hitting" strings when changing position. |

Great song for the C6 lap steel. It is a real challenge to
play on a lap steel. Thank you for that. |

Bert, very sweet sounding arrangement. Very well played. More and more sophisticated tunes from you. That's great.
P.S. ... and thank you for your kind words in preview. Appreciate them so much. |
