I have a new MSA legend D10 on the way, and need a measurement for my tab rack. If you have a similar guitar, could you take this measurement and give me the length? It is the distance from the top of the leg to the top of the guitar:

Tom Bradshaw's tab rack comes with leg mounts, and will fit om any steel, regardless of size.

It fits, but I have a heavy song book that requires extra support. Tom recommended adding a "shelf" that will rest on the top of the guitar, and asked for this measurement.

"Top of the guitar" is a little tricky, because on mine, the wooden top is about 3/16" up and 3/16" in from the top of the metal end piece. The metal part is right at 3 1/8".
Me, I'd add plenty of padding if I was going to make any of it support a heavy song book. You might consider scanning/printing the specific songs you're interested in?

Thanks Al, that's what I needed.
I use the real book for jazz gigs, and it's important to be able to pull up a song if someone calls one out. The light weight solution would be an iPad, but for my current budget I went with the hard copy version.
