Is it possible to block all emails from a certain ISP?

Post by Richard Sinkler »

Every day, I keep getting spam emails to my Gmail account about qualifying for a grant to go back to school. Of course it is a scam, but it's very annoying. I never open their "encrypted" message. I tried a couple of times to reply and cuss the hell out of them, but I get an undeliverable error. They all come from different "people"@juno.com. They end up in my spam folder and I can just ignore and delete them, but it really bugs the begeebees out of me. I don't know of anyone using a juno account, so I am fairly sure I wouldn't be blocking anyone that actually knows me.

Next to the email in gmail you will find three dots. Click on the dot. It will give you a menu were you can block the sender

I'll check that out. But they use a different person's name every time.

Gmail browser page.

Go to Settings (3 bars upper left)

"Filters and Blocked Addresses"

"Create A New Filter"

"Has The Words" (this is where you insert the "OffendingISP.com"

That should do it.

Possibly also use the "From" option but I'm unsure if that will accept a wildcard like *isp.com"

Good luck

I know how to write custom spam filters. Contact me via the forum's PM, or email link if you can't figure it out yourself.

Check your Spam ond Trash folders now and then to make sure nothing wanted ends up in them due to your filters.

Good idea. I just checked, and one of these unwanted mails ended up in my trash bin. So, I guess that is working.

I didn't even know that Juno was still around.

Thanks everyone.

Juno has become a haven for spammers and rip off artists. I had an account that I had not accessed in 15 years or so. Some one hijacked the account and was spamming with it. It took two weeks and an avalanche of emails to get the account closed. No one to call. I would not trust any email from juno if I did not know the sender.

Can't emails be bounced back to sender?
People never have enough time to do things right, but always time to do them over.
