Who still play C#m
I got interested in that tuning, especially for acoustic and wounded if peoples still play that tuning?
I just got into it and love it. I now go from E13 to C#m to E7 by simply re-tuning a few strings. I think of that neck as my floating E neck, which quickly converts to whatever voicing is needed. I’ve only been messing with C#m for the past month, but I’m really starting to see it’s potential!

I normally play A6 tuning for most of my Western Swing, Old Country and gospel. I change to C#mi9 tuning simply by lowering string 3 from A to G# and raising string 6 from C# to D. That gives me E C# G# F# E D. The 7th and 8 string would be tuned to B and E, but I don't need them for the 6 Hawaiian Songs that I play. I learned them from the Jerry Bird Steel Guitar Method years ago and they have stayed in my repertoire since then. I wish I had more materials with C#mi or C#mi9. There is just not a lot of that around anymore. I am glad to see someone else playing it. It is a great tune for Hawaiian because most of the melody notes are on the first two strings and you find yourself sliding the bar up and down the neck to get those Hawaiian sounds.

Great second tuning for A-Major or E-Major players.
I am using it here on my Frypan:

I play in D6 / Bm7. Essentially the same tuning, a full tone down.
DADF#BD instead of EBEG#C#E
Simple and versatile, lots to like about this tuning.
