Tommy Whites amp

Post by Dale Foreman »

Anyone know what Tommy White is using for an amp on the opry stream? I know he used to use a 112 but the one on the opry looks like a Fender or a quilter steelaire!

Well I'm sure it's the best sounding tube amp made these days...a Marsh "Springfield Reverb" Amp.

I don't see an amp called " Vintage tone" on the Marsh website.

Sorry James I read that wrong. The one I pictured is the "Springfield Reverb" Marsh Amp.

The Fender Twin Tone Master is a pretty popular amp.

Pretty sure Tommy had a Marsh at Vince Morenos house for a FB live gig a few weeks back. Looked like the logo to me. Id say the Webb rack when at the Opry.

Well the original poster was asking what amp that looks like a Fender amp Tommy was playing through; of course Tim Sergent would know as he was there when Tommy was recently playing through a Fender Twin Tone Master and that looks like a Fender amp...ah...ha....Cool; thanks Tim for the answer.
I knew he had a Marsh also; and it looks a bit like a Fender amp; so I figured that was the answer; but cool he's diggin both of those new-ish amps.

Reply from Tommy White:

"Hi dear friend! No hurricanes here. Lotsa rain and leaves!
The Grand Ole Opry has a deal with Fender amps now. So, I’m obliged to use Fender amps the Opry provides. The Webb rack has been retired to the back room for now.
I use Marsh amps in the studio and all other live venues. Really loving the Marsh.
I have too many amps!
Always my best,
Tommy"

So there ya go.

I have six really nice steel amps.

I have no gigs, no electricity, and my wife said no.

I really need that new Marsh amp.
