Carter D-10 Service and adjustment

Post by Loy B Moore »

Anyone in the Shreveport/Bossier City area able to service my Carter D-10. Don't know the age but its about 20 years old. Serial # 90186062-24. Needs general lube, adjustment and correction of a bothersome click when the A pedal is pushed.

Don't know the answer to your question as to who can work on it, but will say the serial number puts it as 1996 build.

That A-pedal click may be the pedal rack moving upward when you step on the pedal, causing it to hit the fat nut on the leg. To test that, try holding the pedal bar down in place with one hand (near the leg) while pushing the pedal with the other. See if that click goes way. If it does, shorten the leg slightly to remove the small gap above the pedal bar so it sits tightly between that nut and the rubber foot.
