Bob Dyer in NC?

just wondering if anyone here knew Bob Dyer from western North Carolina.

he's passed away and 3 of his steels have turned up at our local shop. I picked one of them up (Emmons S-10) and would love to know more about it.

his guitars are all in wonderful condition and apparently he played one of them on the Opry at some point, or so I was told.
