I had a great find yesterday. I worked for Little Jimmy Dickens on the Grand Ole Opry for a year in 1981. There was a show they did called "Back stage at the Opry".

I've been looking for the video for 39 years and finally found it. I had a ball with him being one of the "Country Boys", his band. Many stories I could tell!

I feel years later here, I've seen my playing technique truly increase in all ways. Back 39 years ago I played very little C6 tuning. Now I use it all the time and really am drawn to it. If I had to do that tune again, it would be on C6 vs. E9th.

Hey, I remember that guitar! You sounded great and you're being way too modest about your C6th playing. I remember you coming over my house, probably 1977 (?), and you playing a dead-on rendition of John Hughey's Deep Water that made my jaw drop.

That was a great time for you Ron. I like your Bud!!!

Thx Jack. You got a great memory. That is the guitar. I eventually sold it to Bobbe Seymour and he shipped it to Europe. I then bought a Marrs.

I always looked forward to coming to Hightstown and picking with you and Russ. You two were some of the best in the area.
