Years ago, I believe the 1980s, I worked for Darrell on the road for 6 months. THE PERFECT GIG for a steel player. Plus, Darrell was a great guy. On stage if he liked the break you'd take, he give you a second. It ended as he wanted to move back to Texas as every weekend, that's where we traveled to play. He asked if I wanted to go, but I didn't want to leave Nashville. Sometimes I wished I had moved, as Texas now plays what I love.

That was great Ron... I always thought that I grew up in the wrong part of the world and thought the perfect spot for me would be Nashville or Texas... But with the music played in the MSA room in Dallas each year, I know that Texas is the place 🎵🎶🎶🎵I dearly love to be.
