Good day,
I am looking for two replacement fretboards for my 1970 Marlen, they are currently the original metal ones.
Any help would be appreciated and I am open to other designs if need be but would like to stay away from just a printed vinyl wrap if at all possible.

This is a picture of a set of fret boards I made about 1970. They are made of plexiglass. I polished the edges then laid them on the fret board of the guitar I copied the scale length of.
Taped the frets and put the fret ID diamonds in, Then painted the frets white, Let paint dry, Then taped the fret board edges and painted the black background. Turned the plexiglass over and mounted with screws. |

Looks nice. I thought about trying to touch mine up (and may still do so) as most of the wear is on the cream colored frets and edges, but there is a little deterioration in the black area on frets 6, 7, and 8 and I think any touch up would stand out. I really like the Marlen fretboard design and I am hoping to retain that if possible. Fingers crossed someone knows where to find a couple! |
