I recently removed the chassis from my Evans FET 500 LV and sent it to Derrell Stephens for regular servicing. The work performed was flawless, turnaround time was quick and at a very fair price.šŸ‘ While I was waiting on the chassis to be returned, I took the liberty to clean and detail every nook and cranny (with the exception of the JBL 130šŸ˜¬) on the amps cabinet with Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant. It was easy to apply with a microfiber cloth and didnā€™t leave any greasy residue. I just got everything reassembled today and am extremely pleased with the overall outcome. Thank you Derrell for everything you did in helping to return this magnificent old amp to its original condition. :

After 20 years of loyal service, my FET 500 that Derrell built, developed a problem. I sent him the chassis and not only did he repair the problem, he did a tune up and replaced other parts. It sounded a whole lot better when I got it's back. This was a few years ago and the parts and tune-up was only $50.00. I regret I sold it. I now play an SE 200 with an Eminence eps 15c speaker. Killer amp. Evans is hard to beat to my ears, and I've owned just about every steel amp made.

Gorgeous! It deserves a nice cover, if you're going to take it out of the house. Leann Sharp recently made one for my old 1985 Evans and it fits perfectly.

Lee, youā€™re exactly right about Leannā€™s covers, will get one for the Evans. I have her covers on both of my guitars. Very Happy
