RIP Peter Green. A legend to me. Probably the best british blues guitar player of the 60s and founder member of Fleetwood Mac. Albatross..... Peter Green's haunting instrumental from the original Fleetwood Mac!
Arranged for solo Lap Steel, Tuning EBDGBD low to high!

Peter Green was so ahead of everyone else. Gary Moore saw Peter Green playing in a club and said that’s what he wanted to do with his life.
I believe he ended up with Green’s Les Paul. RIP for both.

Mike,
Nice job! I liked your alternating/ background bass combined with your
nicely timed slides.
Nice guitar also, looks like an Oahu upgraded with a “Charlie Christian”
P/U. Whatever it is, it’s gives it a nice resonant tone.. consistent across the board!
Well done.

Love it. That song sounds like it was written for steel.

Thank you all for your kind responses!

The guitar is a modern Gold Tone fitted with a CC style of pickup.....I also changed the stringing to through the body type. The original way was a bit of a pain to string!

I also agree the song sounds as if it was written for a steel guitar.......what would Santo and Johnny have done with it!!!!!

I'm sitting here and listening to #3 and #4 on the CD and was also thinking that Peter Green had a lap steel kind of feel. Thank God for recordings like this!
