A post by Smiley Roberts on 23 August 2004 indicated that the Hooper Case Co. had been out of business for quite some time. |

Bobbe got me a case for my D10 Zum back some years ago. I always thought it was from Woody, back when he was still in business. Great light weight case! OK till I put keyless tuners on it and cut it off! (the Zum was a bit shorter after that!) Another time years later, Woody sent me a great mp3 he had done with BIAB.....much nicer than anything I was ever able to do! Another Woody Woodell in my life was a band leader on a Sharon PA radio station during the late '40s. They even made a movie with Jimmy Wakely one time! Woody's Ridin' Ranger's steel player, Curly Phillips
was the first one I had ever seen live & went home & ordered a 6 string lap out of a mail order catalog! Learned "Georgia Steel Guitar" from a Columbia 78 by Curly Williams! It was easier for me than Leon's "Steel Guitar Rag"! |
