The Marlen currently on ebay is said to be
a 72.. would that be a all pull changer?

I am sure thats a pull-release system of that time period for Marlen.

The D10 Marlen I have is a '69. It's an old pull/release type and over-all I would say it is really very low in quality. I would never recommend buying one of these (from this period) unless you are an expert rebuilder, and also a very good player.

Donny: someone brought one of those real old pull-release Marlens to me back in the early 90's, it was without a doubt, the hardest steel I ever tried to setup & tune, I tend to agree with you on buying one of those. I do have a Marlen ST-10 that I changed over to a system used by GFI on the pull-release, now that one works real good, I added 3 additional knee levers have my low bass tuning on that one.
Marlen Picture, I hope
