how popular are they?

well took on a project building a 6 string pedal steel with 2 flr and 2 knee but will be universal so up to 19 shafts are possible.
since my father sold his pedal steels and only has the non pedal i made for him, he kind of misses the pedal steel. he has a harlin brothers but that is for sale but the playing angle for the pedals and being 97 is not comfortable.
i only found a couple of youtube videos but that doesn't say how popular they are, only knowledgeable steel player can answer that one.
so what say ye??

yes they were on the tube but the ? was are they popular or just a niche item.
not being able to play a steel leaves me in less than a favorable position.
my father built a 15 string steel but not many. he sold a ton of left handed guitars and some special built ones to suite players with disabilities but is the 6 string viable? i only built 1 six string lap steel, mostly 8's and 1 ten.
just curious, have tons of extrusions to use.

Hi, I have two of your dad’s left handed Pedalmaster steels and they are beautiful guitars. A D10 and an S10. Glad to hear he is still enjoying the instrument in any form.

All the best!
