[Close] No Name Pot Volume Pedal
Big ole volume pedal no label anywhere I can find.
It has some age as it has cloth insul. wiring.
Old style 500K AB pot. Works good. Measures app 11 1/2 X 4 3/4 X 3.
I got this to help a friend that thought they wanted to learn steel guitar, but since dropped out and I don't need it.
$80 + $15 US Mail shipping in conus. Money Orders only. Thanks.

Smooth action, good old style pot. Buy a $5 sho-bud vp label from psg.parts if you want to have a brand ID. Looks like there are a few of these pedals of the same design. $75 + shipping.

Thanks for your input, but I don't think that's the case. On an engraved Sho-Bud pedal, it's cut in there pretty deep. It would take a lot of sanding to remove that, more like grinding, and the dimensions don't show that. It's a perfect taper from front to back. About 2" in front. It does not show any signs of being modified or ground down that way.
It does appear there has been some light polishing on the very front face. My guess that there was a label that got scratched up and someone cleaned that off and polished it.
I think Sho-Bud did have some vp's with a label on the front face, but I don't know that. [I do know that psgparts.com does show a label for a Sho-Bud volume pedal.] Or it may have been one of the other brand labels that folks mentioned above.
Odd how a label, or lack of one, makes a product.
It's OK though, I used it the other night. Someone had expressed interest in it, so I connected it and played it with a lap steel for a couple hours to check it out again. It's fine and the Allen Bradley pot is nice and quiet. It does have a little mechanical noise from the spring, but I mean a little and you wouldn't notice it playing. It might could be tweaked to eliminate, I dunno, but I'm not going to pursue that tiny issue. I guess I can just keep it and use it myself. It works just fine, thank you, and it's not eating anything.

I agree with Philip. I still use a 1970 Sho~Bud pedal that looks exactly like it except the logo is missing on this one. Maybe someone played an Emmons guitar and wanted to hide the fact that he was using a ShoBud pedal? Extreme fix to his perceived embarrassment or hate of ShoBud?

Yes, could be earlier than 1970. Shot or Buddy would have known for sure.
