I cant get Eminence to answer my emails,,so I'll check here. Many discussions about the EPS speakers with no sticker. Does any one know for sure,,that they are indeed EPS15C?? The ink stamp on the cone is the same,,so I assumed it was. Quilter uses a type of the same speaker,,and I think without a sticker. Tried to get it from the horses mouth,,but no answer to 2 emails. _________________ Dick Lotspeich

I dunno. Eminence makes several speakers that look identical, or nearly identical, the EPS-15, the CX8-15, Delta-Lite 15, and the Double-T 15 (there may be more I don't know about). Numbers stamped on the cones or frames are probably a manufacturer ID and date code, and neither likely gives any info about the model. Kinda hard to tell them apart without labels. |

Thats what I was thinking too. Since it doesn't have the sticker,,I don't know how I'll find out for sure. Has to be a why to identify,,even if only by Eminence. Not only that,,if its not a 15C, then I didnt get a true measure of tone by trying it. The differences are subtle I'm sure. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

The EPS as far as I can tell from the website. The LITES have the same cover but coated Id say. Now the Telonics looks to be a weighted cap. The Quilter version of the EPS is the same,,but for small frequency spec changes as Jack Stoner has said Pat Quilter told him. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

Well I think I just had a revelation. The posts are different on EPS vs Quilter EPS. Looks like the Quilter version has spades,,the EPS15C has thumb screws,,and a Telonics has spring loaded. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

Spring loaded posts give the best tone

I have several Steelaire speakers, as well as an EPS-15. All of my Steelaire speakers have a matte gray finish on the magnet cover. The EPS-15 has a shinier black finish on the magnet cover.
I also have a Telonics 15” that has the shinier black finish like the EPS.
Not sure what this all means, if anything 😜 _________________ Tommy Detamore

Tommy can you confirm the speaker terminals on each one of those. Telonics are spring-loaded,, EPS has thumbscrews,, and the quilter has spades? _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

My Telonics 15 has spring-loaded terminals...
My EPS-15 has thumbscrew terminals...
Two of my three Steelaire speakers have spades, the other has thumbscrews...
The plot thickens! _________________ Tommy Detamore

Anybody know which model Neo Eminence 15" has a bullet shaped aluminum cone with a mesh screen over the top of the cone? Just got an email from Anthony Lucas at Eminence. He has confirmed the ink stamp being an EPS15C. He also said there should be an identification label underneath one of the frame legs somewhere. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |
